Is this group Therapy?

Our classes are designed to be exactly that, psychoeducational courses.

Psychoeducational classes are designed to educate clients about a topic, and related behaviors and consequences. This type of class presents structured, specific content, and will be taught using videotapes, handouts, and lectures. Psychoeducational groups provide information designed to have a direct application to participants’ lives—to instill self‐awareness, suggest options for growth and change, identify community resources that can assist participants, develop an understanding of the process of change, and prompt people to take action on their own behalf. While psychoeducational groups may inform clients about psychological issues, they do not aim to fill the role of therapy. The major purpose of psychoeducational groups is expansion of awareness about the behavioral  and psychological aspects of a topic.

When does the course start and finish?

The course starts whenever you sign up through our website and is completely self-paced. You decide when you start and finish! The online teaching materials will be accessible for 1 year.

How long do I have access to the course?
After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for 1 year – across any and all devices you own.

What if I have more questions during or after the class?

For our parenting courses, we have designed an ongoing Parent Support Group led by our Therapists to help clarify questions from the courses, and continue to refine skills. Additionally, you may schedule an individual session with any of our therapists to discuss content learned in class that needs further application processing. If you live outside of Georgia, our therapists must be licensed in the state you will be located in when participating in individual sessions. Please Contact us to learn more!

Can I file for insurance?

Psychoeducational webinars are not reimbursed by insurance, but our groups and individual therapy may qualify for out-of-networks benefits, including our ongoing parent support group for course participants that choose to enroll.
