Healing Starts Here

At Atlanta Counseling Collective, we provide compassionate, results-driven therapy for children (ages 4+), teens, and adults. Our therapists work collaboratively with clients to identify goals, overcome emotional blocks, and build on personal strengths.

We offer a place for honest conversation and meaningful progress— we’re just as comfortable listening with empathy as we are offering clear, practical guidance. Whether you’re seeking support, direction, or both, we’re here to help you move forward.

What is Family Therapy?

Every family faces challenges—whether it’s communication breakdowns, parenting stress, sibling conflict, or the impact of major life transitions. Family therapy provides a safe, supportive space where families can come together to better understand one another, resolve conflict, and build stronger, healthier relationships.

At our practice, we offer compassionate, solution-focused family therapy for families of all shapes and sizes. Our licensed therapists work collaboratively with family members to identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or disconnection and help you develop new ways to relate, communicate, and support one another.

Family therapy can help you:

  • Improve communication and reduce conflict

  • Strengthen emotional bonds and understanding

  • Navigate changes such as divorce, remarriage, or loss

  • Support a family member dealing with mental health or behavioral challenges

  • Rebuild trust and connection after difficult experiences

Whether you’re a couple parenting young children, a blended family adjusting to change, or a multigenerational household navigating complex dynamics, we meet you where you are—with empathy, insight, and effective tools for lasting growth.

What is Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT)?

Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) is a structured, evidence-based approach designed to repair and strengthen parent-child relationships. Rooted in attachment theory, ABFT helps families navigate conflict, improve communication, and build secure emotional bonds—especially in situations where a child or teen is struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or suicidal thoughts.

At our practice, we offer ABFT to support families in crisis or disconnection. This specialized therapy focuses on healing relational wounds and restoring trust, making it especially effective for adolescents who feel misunderstood, emotionally distant, or disconnected from their caregivers… ABFT works at the root of emotional disconnection.

ABFT can help your family:

  • Rebuild emotional safety and connection between parents and children

  • Address past hurts, miscommunications, and emotional ruptures

  • Strengthen parental support for a struggling teen

  • Improve family communication and problem-solving skills

  • Reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and self-harm

Video and phone sessions

Online counseling either through phone or video allows you to have therapy without the everyday hassle of trying to fit it in. After an in-person assessment, phone and video sessions may be a good option to reduce the logistical challenges of therapy.
