Group Therapy
Some of the most comforting words in the Universe are
“me too”.
Individual therapy is about you, as it should be, and it’s helpful. But you’re not just an individual, you’re also a part of any number of groups. So it follows that getting better at living involves getting better at being in and building groups.
Group therapy can be a powerful source for change and has multiple benefits:
– Safe peer environment to practice skills learned (social skills, emotion regulation skills, etc).
– Additional support between therapy sessions or as an non-threatening entry point to therapy.
– Accountability and Validation, you are not the only one.
